E-Commerce

There are two main ways to collect credit card payments online. You can get a merchant account yourself, or you can do a third party merchant account. We have chosen two who we feel are the best in price and service.

1. Own Merchant Account - CDG Commerce
2. Third party merchant account - Paypal

Steps you need to take to provide an e-commerce web site for your customers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The steps below are necessary to transform your web site from an informational site into an online store.

Note: all of the steps listed below are your soul responsibility. Quick's Graphics is not responsible for setting up an Internet Merchant Account with your Merchant Account Provider. Please contact your Merchant Account Provider for any questions or problems pertaining to your Internet Merchant Account

Step 1
Shopping Cart

Shopping cart software allows you to setup an online store to sell your products or services. It includes features such as sales, catalog, order processing, content management, customer service, reporting, analysis, and personalization. Shopping cart software supported in your Cpanel: Agora Cart, CubeCart, OS Commerce, Zen Cart.
Note: If you need us to setup your Shopping cart, the fee is: $200.00

Step 2
To ensure your e-commerce web site is successful, it is required that you purchase a Security Certificate, which will ensure your customer's payment information remains confidential. SSL encrypts confidential data such as credit card numbers and passwords. A private SSL is required when taking credit cards off your site. You are welcome to provide us with the SSL and we will install it for a fee, or you can purchase one directly from us. (Recommend Comodo) 208-378-8336

Comodo SSL's are trusted by over 99.3% of internet browsers (equal to Verisign and Thawte certificates). The only difference between one ssl type and another is the browser recognition. To name a few of the browsers, all Internet Explorer 5.00 and above, Netscape 4x and above, AOL 5 and above and Opera 5 and above and comes pre-installed with all Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Mac OS 8.5, Mac OS 9.x, Mac OS X operating systems.

Below are several places to order a Certificate. Note: A one to two year fee will apply. VeriSign SSL Certificate, Thawte SSL Certificate, or Entrust SSL Certificate

Step 3
Merchant Account Provider

In order to accept credit card payments online, you must have an Internet merchant account, which accepts credit card payments online for deposit. Here are several Merchant Account Providers; CDG Commerce, Wells Fargo, Bank Card USA, Online Data Corp, CyberSource, EFSnet, or Authorize.net. Note: Below is a list of fees you will have to pay, so you may want to shop around.

Example:
* 2.39% Rate - per transaction
* $0.30 Authorization Fee - per transaction
* $10.00 Monthly Statement Fee
* $19.93 Monthly Gateway Program Fee
* An Application Fee may apply

Online Payment Processing, Gateway Program
This is a program that allows you to authorize (or deny) credit card transactions online. The program is known as a payment gateway, which enables the Subscriber to authorize, process and manage online transactions. Each Merchant Account Provider uses a payment gateway program to route the requested transaction authorization.

Step 4
Ask the Merchant Account Provider (Bank) if their gateway program is compatible with your Host Providers server software. Note: The "Monthly Gateway Program Fee" above will apply here, so make sure the, Merchant Account Provider's and your shopping cart software is compatible with the gateway program and your Host Providers server software.

1. The payment gateway software formats the transaction detail appropriately, securely and routes the transaction authorization request through the payment gateway software to the processor.

2. The transaction is then processed and routed to the issuing bank (Visa, MasterCard, etc...) to request transaction authorization.

3. The transaction is either authorized or declined by the issuing bank (Visa, MasterCard, etc...) and returns the message to the merchants site. This gateway process only takes seconds.
